PRIOR TO MOVING OUT
STOP UTILITY SERVICE
Be sure to contact all utility companies that you are responsible for paying to stop service in your name. Note: your stop service date MUST be on your lease end date, no sooner.
UPDATE YOUR FORWARDING ADDRESS
Updating your address will ensure you receive your mail and security deposit return without delay. Contact the USPS or go online to file for mail forwarding. Change your mailing address with banks, insurance companies, subscription services, etc. Finally, email your forwarding address to leasing@axiarentals.com, or click the button below.
CANCEL ANY AUTOPAYMENTS IN THE PORTAL
Before your last month of rent is charged, be sure to cancel any automatic payments you have set up through the tenant portal. Most final rent payments are prorated, and automatic payments will not adjust the payment amount to match. This means that you may overpay towards your last month’s balance. Should this occur, your overpayment will be refunded with your security deposit. Axia Property Management cannot create, change, or cancel automatic payment plans for you.
MOVE OUT DAY
DROPPING OFF KEYS
Your lease ends at 12 noon on your lease end date. Please bring all unit keys, mail keys, parking permits, and garage remotes (if applicable) to our office on the morning of your lease end date. If you plan to move out early, let us know so we can coordinate your key drop-off. Keys must be delivered to our Boulder office on or before your lease end date, during business hours only. If you are in a Denver area property, you may leave your keys in your unit if you cannot make it to Boulder, with prior approval from management.
HOLDOVER
If you have not completely vacated your unit by 12 noon on your lease end date, you will be charged a holdover fee. Holdover fees are $250 daily, and will continue to accrue until you have vacated. We have a tight schedule to keep, help us keep things running smoothly so that we can deliver fantastic units to new tenants.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
Your security deposit will be processed and mailed out to you within 60 days from your lease end date. In compliance with state law, this allows us enough time to receive invoices from third party vendors for accurate billing. You will receive an itemized statement and associated invoices with your check in the mail. If we do not have a forwarding address on file for you, your security deposit will be mailed to your last known address.
