If your lease start is approaching, follow these steps to get ready for move-in day! While we do our best to make things easy, these steps are required and must be completed before key pickup to ensure everything runs smoothly. 

STEP #1

Schedule your Key Collection Appointment

First things first, you’ll need to schedule a time to come to the Axia offices to collect your keys and move-in folder. Your key collection date all depends on your lease start. You will have received a ‘Welcome Home’ email from us with information on dates for scheduling an appointment. If you did not yet receive an email and you’re looking to plan ahead, see below for how to determine which date is best for you.

If your lease begins on a weekday, your key collection date will be on the same day. You may not schedule an appointment for a date earlier than your lease start.

If your lease begins on a weekend, your key collection date will occur on the last weekday before the weekend of your lease start. For example, if your lease begins on Saturday the 5th, your key collection date would be Friday the 4th.

If you’d like to schedule your key pickup for a later date, simply select which date in the future you’d prefer, and we’ll see you then. We do not offer weekend appointments.

On the day of your appointment, please arrive to our Boulder office on time. If you are late for your appointment, you may be rescheduled. Do not arrive to your appointment without ensuring that each of the following steps have been completed.

STEP #2

Set Up Your Utilities

Each city has different utility service providers, and each property has different requirements for what utilities must be placed into tenants names. For a full breakdown of what your property requires, please review your ‘Welcome Home’ email, or give us a call. Applicable utilities must be placed into your name as of your lease start date. 

If you already know what utilities your property requires, but you’re not sure where to set them up, click the button below or visit the Utility Information page. This page includes links and phone numbers for each cities utility providers. 

STEP #3

Purchase and/or Set Up Insurance

All Axia properties require renter’s insurance, no exceptions. If there are multiple tenants, while only one needs to carry a policy, we recommend all tenants look into a policy of their own to protect their belongings. 

If you already have a renter’s insurance policy, or you plan to purchase one through your auto insurance provider or another broker, you can upload your coverage information through the ‘Insurance’ tab in the tenant portal. You’ll need your insurance provider, policy number, and effective/expiration dates. You can also email leasing@axiarentals.com with your policy documents, and we will upload it for you. 

You may also purchase a renter’s insurance policy through the tenant portal. Select the ‘Insurance’ tab, and follow the prompts to purchase insurance. Please note, this is a third party service provider. Once a policy is purchased, it will be automatically uploaded. 

REQUIREMENTS

Policies must have minimum $100,000 in personal liability coverage. Policies must also list “Axia Property Management, LLC” as an additional interested party. 

STEP #4

Pay Your Balance and Collect Your Keys!

Before arriving for your scheduled appointment, go online to the portal to ensure your account is paid in full and that the balance shows $0.00 due. Balances must be paid in full before keys will be distributed. PLEASE DO NTO ARRIVE WITHOUT PAYING YOUR BALANCE IN FULL.

On the day of your scheduled appointment, please arrive to our Boulder office with the above steps completed.
